Good Reads 5th Grade LinkSpelling City - Word Wisdom, Unit 4, Part 2Spelling City - Word Wisdom - Unit 4, Part 3HomeworkMonday - Thursday... And, any work that is not completed in class will be sent home to be completed for homework. (This is just the homework for Mrs. Poloronis' English/Language Arts and Social Studies classes. Students will also be assigned homework for Mrs. Golden's Math and Science classes, although that will usually be completed in her classroom.)
ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS: Students will be required to read independently as their nightly homework. Students will be required to take an AR test every other Friday OR at least 4 AR tests per 9 weeks. These AR grades will be their homework grade for Language Arts, that accounts for 10% of the weighted report card average. SPELLING: Spelling homework is NOT required to be turned in. Students should study spelling words in whatever manner they need to prepare for the test. However, if a student repeatedly fails spelling tests, spelling tasks will be required for homework. Students are allowed to access current and future spelling lists from www.spellingcity.com/leeannep4. For example, you can study the week's words we are on, or you can study for next week's spelling pre-test before Monday to be prepared ahead of time. (Pre-tests are given on Mondays, post-tests are given on Fridays.) SOCIAL STUDIES: Social Studies homework will only be assigned occasionally, and when there is a test, students will be required to study at home. |
